Derek Boddey
With a camera always to hand, Derek Boddey focuses on capturing monochrome images of his favourite subjects: landscapes and seascapes. Green Pebble is pleased to be able to offer a number of these images as greeting cards.
Artist's statement
I’ve been an amateur photographer since the age of thirteen. Now in my late seventies, I have deserted my darkroom for the computer. Predominately my work is in monochrome with landscapes and seascapes as favourite subjects and I like to look for the unusual. Recently I have become interested in infrared photography, this gives a whole new look to familiar scenes. I now use digital SLR cameras for serious shoots and a compact as a go-anywhere camera. I spent life in the electronics industry and always found photography a relaxing pastime away from the pressures of problems and deadlines.
