Green Pebble artists speak their minds in their blogs

Green Pebble Magazine

Auctions East & 'Collected: Contemporary British Artists at Auction'

Starting with the October 2009 issue, Green Pebble once more follows the course of local artists at auction. The magazine has also introduced a section, 'Collected', which will appear regularly in our flagship publication, Green Pebble Magazine, from 2010. Every issue will profile affordable British contemporary artists who enjoy a viable second hand market, so that East Anglian art lovers can keep abreast of developments further afield. Remember, the best way to get hold of Green Pebble magazine is by subscribing for just £10 for a year!

As part of the Auctions East and Collected pages, we have devised the Green Pebble Price Index (GPPI) - It has been designed by us to ease your comparison of prices of works by different artists, of different sizes and different media. 2D artworks are grouped as ‘Oils’, ‘Soluble’ and ‘Prints’. The higher the GPPI, the more expensive the work irrespective of its size.

Below are examples of the information our Collected pages provide:

The auction figures, statistics and information quoted in these pages are derived, in the main, from various publically-available sources but their accuracy cannot be assured. Because it can be dangerous to extrapolate trends from a limited number of sales as any one year’s results can be disproportionally affected by a single sale, Green Pebble and Green Pebble’s Art Events Guide advise readers to take independent professional advice before entering into a contract for the purchase or sale of art work.
