Anthea Eames' London Exhibition "Ancient Landscapes - Modern Times"

Solo exhibition by Norwich artist Anthea Eames showing her latest mixed media works. In "Ancient Landscapes - Modern Times" she reveals the culture and history that have gone into the making of the landscape; the source of the very paint she uses to depict it. Natural earth pigments collected at source, woad, sand, ground shells and chalk are bound together with a variety of resins, each chosen for their lustre and viscosity. The surfaces she creates are full of emotion and meaning and in the landscape as in the paint, our history is embedded.
