Thousands
queue for
local artist’s exhibition
Winter 2008 issue

A queue
of 3000 people on opening night? More than 7000 visitors over the course of
a two-week exhibition? This was the experience of artist Madi Boyd (Green
Pebble’s Suffolk sales consultant!) when she exhibited in london in
September at the Crypt Gallery, St. Pancras.
The group show entitled ‘Illumini’ was curated by Jane Webb and
featured 14 artists who use light as a medium of expression or as an important
element in their work.
The event was critic’s choice in Time Out and featured in the
Daily Telegraph, and Madi's work was very favourably reviewed. As a result,
six of the artists subsequently exhibited in Langthorne Park, East London,
as part of the launch of the Cultural Olympiad in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.

and Madi Boyd's Website.
