Dawn
Hall My earliest show was age eight when
my teacher asked me to provide a painting for the local summer festival.
The painting was in danger of cracking and it was too heavy to hang as I
retouched it for the tenth time, certain that it wasn’t yet quite
right. So started my quest for the painting; the feeling that inspires all
artists at the beginning of every project.
Despite being self-taught, natural curiosity has led to some wonderful opportunities.
A series of magazine covers for Royal Mail resulted in a presentation to
the Prime Minister. This led me to believe that passion for my craft could
open doors.
Despite success with architectural and floral studies, my true love is the
great skies and scenery of East Anglia. Deciding on the next painting enriches
the start of every day. I strive to make the viewer momentarily feel the
breeze on their face as I did at that particular moment.
And who knows, the next one might just be the one....
