'Old Town' is a one off tapestry weaving hand woven on a loom from Worsted spun wool and 100% cotton warp. The ceramic beads have been woven into the piece and were the inspiration for the beautiful muted palette.
Various weaving techniques have been incorporated including 'Leno', the open lace work, 'Hatching', where the colours are blended and 'Double twist', where the warp is taken off the loom, swapped over and retied.
The artwork has been sewn onto a calico mount and comes complete with the oak wood frame which can either be hung or placed on a sideboard or shelf. The tapestry measures 22cm x 22cm and the frame itself measures 33cm x 33cm.
