My ‘studio’ is a garden shed with a skylight, in an orchard in Cornwall. I paint big, colourful oil paintings of everyday life, usually of people having a good time which necessitates, of course, being where the good times happen. It means camping and cycling around Cornwall and France visiting markets, cafes and beaches, with an ever-ready sketch book. Working up the sketches to big canvases later in my shed provides many days of enjoyable reminders of people, sounds and smells. Having started painting quite late in life, I can’t believe my luck!
