My paintings come from a harking back to when I lived in a world where I skipped along in my little duffle coat and boots to Saturday morning cinema. Afternoons were spent cockling on the Burry Estuary with Sam the Cairn terrier. I have a strong sense of connection with that child of the 60's. There is a Welsh word 'Hiraeth' - which loosely translated means 'a longing for home'. I suppose that best describes what continously fires me to keep painting: I am always seeking to return to my 'Never, Never Land' and then share it.
