I have lived in the beautiful Suffolk countryside for most of my life, constantly being intrigued and inspired by the variety of fauna and flora around me. As a child I can remember sitting in my Dad’s greenhouse looking closely at the flowers and finding their structure fascinating. The opportunity to study art and design in West Yorkshire continued to develop my love of form, colour, structure and pattern. Now I spend my time walking, observing, taking photos and collecting objects that I then bring back to my studio to sketch. From these concepts my vision of nature emerges.
