I have always been a visual person. What things look like really matters to me. At the Central School of Art and Design in London I studied Theatre Design. This combined all my passions: art, architecture, interior design, costume, textiles, history, and storytelling. Then, after decades as a designer, working always to a brief, and gardening for a hobby, I discovered the joy of simply making pictures. I practiced traditional and contemporary oil painting techniques to become as good a painter as I could be. I set out to make attractive, dramatic, and exciting images. I simply paint what makes me happy, and hope that it will bring a little joy to everybody who sees my work.
