This brooch is made from off-white stoneware clay.
Before the clay is fired, I coat the surface with black underglaze, then with a sgraffito tool, scratch the top surface away to reveal the clay colour beneath.
With this one-off design, I have glazed the outer black areas of the brooch, leaving the ghosts a matt texture.
The Brooch measures 2.5cm x 2cm x 1cm
