A lovely fun set of 4 espresso cups, hand pinched from individual pieces of stoneware clay. Each cup is approximately 6.5cm tall and holds 100ml. They are finished in white glaze on the exterior with blue, turquoise, red and orange spots and insides. Each handle is hand rolled and shaped.
The reason that I enjoy making by hand is that each piece is unique. It retains marks and impressions made during construction, giving the owner a meaningful connection to the maker and the knowledge that the item they are using was happily made by another person.
