Pretty pot in glossy intermingling glazes. The pot would make a lovely and useful gift. It holds water so it could be used as a small bud /flower vase. The glazes are food safe so the pot could be used hold sticks of celery, carrots, a few olives, or a dip.
The pot was thrown on a Potters' Wheel, trimmed and fired, then glazed in multiple layers of different glazes, leaving the bottom unglazed for contrast and revealing the toasted appearance of the speckly stoneware. My Maker's Mark (AS) is stamped on the unglazed lower edge of the pot.
The inside is glazed in a moody dark green glossy glaze. The outside is glazed in the same dark green glaze at the top and dark blues below with a striking lighter blue band between the two.
Approximate size: 8 cm (H), 7.2 max width, 5.3 cm opening.
The pot will be carefully packed in a box to protect it from damage during transit.
