The title of this piece is 'Dawn Meadow'.
'Dawn Meadow' is a joyful study of flowers and foliage, drawn in warm reds, soft blush pinks and muted blue-greens against a warm ivory ground. A delicate pink border frames the design.
My work is inspired by nature, travel and the small details of places that stay with us. Having lived in four countries over eight years, I have become fascinated by the way colour, landscape and memory become intertwined. Each design begins with drawing and observation before being developed into a piece of wearable art.

From sketchbook to silk ~
For me, the scarf is more than an accessory. It is a small piece of artwork designed to move, fold and change depending on how it is worn.
The flowers and botanical forms retain the character of the original drawing, while silk twill gives the finished piece its beautiful drape and subtle lustre.
