Maria lives in a fishing harbour from where she wanders for miles along the coast paths for inspiration with no planned route and sometimes no sense of direction! She takes photographs and uses them as visual notes. The walking, getting lost and all the characters she sees along her journey pop up in her artwork. She loves narrative and storytelling and mixes up snippets of daily life and nature using mixed media techniques.
