This striking necklace is cast from an actual tiny alder cone and transformed into solid metal using the technique of Lost Wax Casting.
The cone is cast in sterling silver and hard gold plated with a thick layer of pure gold known as gold vermeil. Hard gold plating ensures that the coat is even and durable and will not chip of flake off like other plating methods. The pine cone pendant is finished on gold vermeil chain.
Each pine cone is created from a different natural object meaning that no two pieces will ever be the same making your necklace truly special and unique.
