The Truth Calls is a 30x30x2 inches framed canvas print (31.5x31.5x2 including the frame) of an original painting. It comes in a white wooden floater frame (frame with slight gap between the canvas and the frame so it appears to ‘float’). The depth of frame is 2 inches (stands out from the wall by 2 inches) and the width of frame is ½ an inch. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and free gifts from the artist. The canvas was printed with fade resistant ink and has a matte varnish for protection. It does not come with fixings but is ready to hang apart from that. Please note that the video and the close ups of the frame are not necessarily the same print but are just to show you what it looks like. Contact me to request alternate sizes.
See video for example of the frame (not the same print)
The Truth Calls is a print of a painting of an autumn path through woodland with views across fields and hedgerow beside it. The painting is blurred at the edges which appears to pull the viewer onto the path that leads to whatever mystery lies beyond. On the left you can see the low hills of the Ashdown Forest area of Sussex. It was inspired by a walk I took in November near Ide Hill (English North Downs) which goes through the ancient farmland and fields of Orbriss farm. It was a late autumn scene and the sun was low in the sky and lighting up the last of the autumn leaves to rich golds, greens and reds. This particular view of the path caught my imagination as I could imagine it going to somewhere magical and not of this world at all.
