I have come to painting later in life but that’s okay because I’ll never be as young as I am now. Carpe diem! My ‘studio’ is the kitchen table and my art cupboard. I like being at the heart of the house with its life all around me. Usually it’s a moment of strong emotional connection that inspires me. I try to catch the feeling and pin it down in my painting. Each story I paint represents a moment in time set within the fields, villages and hidden places of this small valley where I live.
