I live in a traditional fisherman's cottage by the sea and my paintings are inspired by the rugged coast and country walks on my doorstep. I work with a chalky, muted palette of colours and love painting images of people and animals enjoying the great outdoors. Mornings are my favourite time to work and my studio is filled with paint, pencils, pens and cups of cappuccino. When I'm not busy painting I can be found working on book illustration, exploring our gorgeous coastline and (only in fair weather!) swimming in the sea.

I am also known professionally as 'Ellie Illustrates'.
